My name is Jeff Hossler. I think the best way to tell you a bit about myself is by telling you about the things that I enjoy and are important to me. Some people call them “roles” but I like to think they are a reflection of what I value.
Follower of Jesus
At an early age I decided that I wanted to follow Jesus. I haven’t always followed Him well, in fact, for a few years I didn’t follow Him at all. But more than ever I am convinced that He is who He said He was, and that trusting in His way is the only way to real life, both now and in eternity.
Husband
I have been married to Shalon, the love of my life for, 17 years. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with a godly wife to share life with. She was a public school teacher for 5 years and is now a homeschooler of 9 years and counting. She is also a budding photographer, you can see her work at ShalonReneePhotography.
Father
I have four great kids. A 15-year old boy, a 13-year old boy, a 8-year girl and a 3-year old son. 
Parenting these kids is my greatest joy and responsibility. Some people talk about “legacy work,” work that lives beyond you. The way that I see it, my kids are my “legacy work” and so I am pouring myself into them.
Pastor
I have been a pastor for 15 years. For the last 9 years I’ve had the privilege of leading the community of faith at the Orchards Community Church. I am thankful to call them friends as we learn together what it means to follow Jesus in every area of our lives.

About This Site
This site is really about my desire to become everything that God wants me to be. It’s too easy to accept the way things are in my life, in my family, in my community and in the world. This site is about my quest to move from what is to what should be. Who knows, maybe it could be of some help to you too.
